We love the space here, both inside and out. The uninterrupted views to the rear offer glorious big skies, both day and night. The house is wonderful for entertaining and weâ€™ve hosted some very special occasions here, from big family Christmases to our daughterâ€™s wedding reception. We get on well with our neighbours, particularly those immediately to either side, they are always happy to take in a parcel deliveries and we feed their animals during holidays.
Mr P is very proud of the well-equipped gym and I love the country kitchen, which has also doubled up as nursery for several litters of puppies. We really enjoy the peaceful country life and the space to enjoy our five horses & ponies and our dogs. For equestrian pursuits, there are bridle-paths close by, and the local equestrian centre, which holds frequent dressage and show-jumping competitions, is a 10-minute hack.
There are excellent grammar and independent schools in nearby Cobham, Dartford, Tonbridge and Rochester. We will be taking very happy memories of our childrenâ€™s late teens and early twenties with us, they absolutely loved their post-school years in Ash before they flew the nest.
LocationÂ Â Ash is a small village located in the district of Sevenoaks. It shares the parish of Ash-cum-Ridley with the nearby village of Ridley. The London Golf Club is located in the village, which hosts the European Open on the PGA European Tour. The village offers a church and public house yet is within easy driving distance of shops and schools at New Ash Green, Hartley and Longfield which offers mainline railway station to London Victoria and international railway station at Ebbsfleet providing a 17 minute link to London St Pancras and both stations also provide services to the Channel Ports.
